How to make it

  • Step 1

    Cook the Oats:
    Rinse 1 cup of McGarrett oats like you would with rice. Cook using 2 parts water to 1 part oats.
  • Step 2

    Prepare the Shrimp:
    Cut off the shrimp heads, slice along the back using scissors, peel off the shell, and remove the black vein. Then pound and finely chop the shrimp.
  • Step 3

    Pre-Cook the Shrimp:
    Add 2 tbsp water and 1 tbsp oil to a pan. Add the chopped shrimp and cook until partially done.
  • Step 2

    Make the Thai-Style Omelette:
    Beat 3 eggs in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, rice flour, and white pepper to taste. Heat palm oil over medium heat and pour in the egg mixture. Fry until crispy and golden.
